ABOUT EMMA...
I was born in Jersey, Channel Islands and now living in Chester. I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2017 with a 1st class honours degree in Sports Therapy BSc. During this time I gained my Sports massage qualification. I also learnt how to assess and treat injuries as well as advise on the most effective rehabilitative exercises to prevent any aches and pains from returning. I also have gained experience with professional athletes, working with Northampton Saints RFC and undergoing a year’s placement with my home team Jersey Reds RFC. These invaluable experiences allowed me to observe and treat various sporting injuries ranging from concussion to acute musculoskeletal injuries.
After graduating from university, I decided to go travelling where I discovered the Yachting industry. I worked onboard as a Sports Masseuse and Stewardess for 2 years treating some high profile clients. This was where I also gained qualifications in Swedish and Indian Head massage. I was extremely lucky enough to be able to travel to some pretty special places such as the Bahamas, Caribbean, Norway and various locations in the Mediterranean.
In 2019 I moved to Chester and began working as a Sports Masseuse within clinical private practice alongside experienced Chiropractors and Osteopaths. This current position has allowed me to gain knowledge with treating chronic pain and various spinal conditions. I find it incredibly rewarding helping all sorts of people, no matter what their goal may be. More recently, I have become interested in women’s health, specifically pregnancy and how hands-on therapy/techniques can help with PGP, swelling and lower back pain. I am now fully qualified in Pregnancy massage since last year.
